Corbs Coatings

At Corbs Construction, quality is more than a promise — it’s our standard. We specialize in professional construction services and high-performance concrete coating systems designed to last for years, not just look good on day one. Through Corbs Coatings, we provide premium concrete coating solutions to the Appleton and Green Bay Areas. These coatings including:

  • Polyurea flooring systems
  • Epoxy flooring systems
  • Urethane chip (flake) coatings
  • Polyaspartic top coats
  • Moisture-mitigating primer systems

Our Difference: Built for Long-Term Performance
Many coating companies focus on speed. We focus on durability.

While competitors often advertise a “one-day turnaround,” they typically skip one of the most important steps in the coating process: a vapor barrier primer. This primer layer requires additional cure time, extending most projects to at least two days — but that extra day makes a significant difference in long-term performance.

At Corbs Coatings, we have made the decision to include a moisture-mitigating vapor barrier primer on every job as our standard system.

Why the Vapor Barrier Primer Matters:
Concrete slabs naturally contain moisture. If that moisture pushes upward after a coating is installed, it can cause:

  • Peeling
  • Bubbling
  • Delamination
  • Premature failure

The only reliable way to truly test for moisture within a concrete slab is to drill a hole and test the slab internally. Surface readings alone are not dependable. Elevated moisture levels are more common than many property owners realize — especially in garages, basements, and ground-level slabs. For this reason, we include vapor barrier as part of our standard system. No need to drill holes, no future moisture problems.

Epoxy manufacturers recommend vapor barrier primers on all jobs and require them in areas with high moisture levels. However, many installers skip this step to speed up installation.

We don’t.
Our Premium Coating System
A typical Corbs Coatings installation includes:

  1. Mechanical surface preparation (concrete grinding)
  2. Vapor barrier primer for superior adhesion and moisture mitigation
  3. High-build polyurea base coat
  4. Full broadcast decorative urethane chip system (optional)
  5. Durable polyaspartic top coat for UV stability and long-term protection

This layered system creates:

  • Exceptional adhesion to the concrete slab
  • Resistance to moisture-related failure
  • Impact and abrasion resistance
  • Chemical and stain resistance
  • Long-term color stability
Why We Choose a Two-Day Process
Yes — our system typically requires at least two days.
But here’s why that matters:

  • The primer coat needs proper cure time to bond effectively.
  • Proper layering creates a chemically bonded system, not just a surface coating.
  • Moisture protection dramatically increases lifespan.

We believe customers deserve a floor that lasts years, not one that starts failing after a few seasons of harsh Wisconsin winters.
Built on Integrity
At Corbs Construction, we believe in doing the job right the first time. Cutting corners may save a day — but it costs longevity. By making the vapor barrier primer a standard part of every Corbs Coatings project, we give every floor the highest possible chance of long-term durability.
When you choose Corbs Construction, you’re choosing:

  • Higher standards
  • Manufacturer-recommended systems
  • Moisture-protected installations
  • Long-term performance over quick turnaround

We specialize in epoxy, polyaspartic, and decorative chip coat flooring systems. Each solution is engineered to provide long-lasting durability, chemical resistance, and an attractive finish for both residential and commercial spaces. Our coatings are designed to withstand heavy foot traffic, vehicles, and industrial wear while maintaining a professional appearance.
Not all floor coatings are the same. High-quality epoxy and polyaspartic materials offer superior adhesion, UV stability, impact resistance, and long-term performance. Cheaper alternatives often peel, yellow, or crack within months, creating expensive repairs. Investing in premium products ensures your floor remains strong, beautiful, and low-maintenance for years.
Decorative chip coat floors combine colorful vinyl chips with a polyaspartic topcoat that is four times stronger than epoxy alone. They provide enhanced slip resistance, impact protection, and visual appeal, making them perfect for garages, showrooms, and commercial areas. Like all our floors, success relies on premium materials and expert installation.
We prioritize quality and durability over speed. Rushing an install or using inferior materials can result in peeling, bubbling, or weak adhesion. Our two day process ensures your floor is perfectly applied, fully cured, and ready to withstand heavy traffic—even if it takes slightly longer than cheaper, faster alternatives.
Professional installation is critical to the success of any epoxy or polyaspartic floor system. Even the best materials can fail if the surface is not properly prepared or if application techniques are incorrect. Our trained installers follow industry standards for moisture barriers, surface profiling, and climate-controlled application to guarantee a flawless, long-lasting finish.
We are committed to delivering long-lasting, professional-grade epoxy, polyaspartic, and chip coat floors. Our team consults on material selection, design, and installation techniques to ensure your floor meets your needs. We focus on quality and performance, not just the lowest price or fastest installation, giving you floors that last and add real value to your property.
With premium materials and professional installation, our epoxy and polyaspartic floors typically last 15–20 years or more. Decorative chip coat floors maintain their beauty for years when maintained correctly. Longevity depends on correct installation, proper maintenance, and the quality of the products used—not the lowest price per square foot.
Our floors are designed for low-maintenance performance. Clean regularly with non-abrasive, pH-neutral cleaners and avoid harsh chemicals or sharp tools that could damage the surface. Routine maintenance will preserve your floor’s shine, slip resistance, and long-term durability.
